I get many questions from friends, visitors, and clients about how to tell where a bus stop begins and ends. It was nice of one of New York’s finest to park his traffic patrol van illegally right next to the bus stop sign to demonstrate exactly where a bus stop begins. You’ll find the familiar bus stop sign in front of the NYPD van, with the box on the poll labeled “bus stop,” and arrow pointing directly at the police van. One NYC parking ticket coming right up!
Please stay seated. We’re not quite finished yet. The NYPD has graciously agreed to another demonstration of how to park illegally in a safety zone. You can see how adept the police officer is in fitting his patrol car in the narrow safety zone. If you and I park here, we will be issued a NYC parking ticket.
In the performance of police duties
In all fairness to our brave men and women in blue, these vehicles are parked LEGALLY, if, the officer is performing his/her police duties.
Would you give the police officers the benefit of the doubt? Or do you believe it’s just police behaving badly? Please let me hear from you.[A special thanks goes out to Granger, a great friend of New York Parking Ticket, for snapping these terrific photographs. Please send us parking related photos. We love ’em.]
