Parking ticket rules and other weird stuff you may not know

-Parking ticket rule prohibited parking on a marginal street or waterfront, as defined in 4-01(b) of these rules. A “marginal street” is:

• Any street, road, place, area or way adjoining or adjacent to waterfront property and designated as a marginal street, wharf or place on a plan or map adopted pursuant to law

-When a vehicle is too large to be parked within a single parking meter space, it shall be parked with the front section alongside the forward meter…” 4-08(h)(4) You are required to activate the forward meter

-Cars may enter most bus lanes for one block before making a right turn, except on Madison Avenue. Right turns are not permitted across the dual bus lane from 42nd Street to 59th Street, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. The first right turn permitted is at 62nd Street. Taxis may use the bus land up to 46th Street and turn right at either 44th Street or at 46tkh Street.
