An affordable parking ticket course will help you beat NYC parking tickets
I could use your help and feedback. I am cogitating about publishing an online parking ticket course that will:
- Be short and sweet
- Very affordable for all
- Save you a bunch of money
But, I’m not sure that people would spend their valuable time taking a course that teaches them how to beat certain NYC parking tickets. Likewise, I’m not sure what course to offer. In other words, this is where youse guys and ladies come in.
Please share your thoughts about this endeavor:
- Will people purchase the course?
- What subject should I teach?
Here is some more information. I’m hoping you will offer your ideas and feedback in the comment section after the post.
Affordable parking ticket course
My initial thoughts about the course were to offer it for $115. However, a valuable member of our newsletter community suggested that I reconsider the pricing. And, he was right.
I would offer the online course for $10. I don’t want anyone who would be interested in purchasing a course to miss out because of the price during these terrible times.
Course subject
That’s where I need your help. I’m thinking about how to fight those evil tickets by asserting an omitted, misdescribed, or illegible required element defense. Finding those gold nuggets are the best way to beat a parking ticket. As long as you know how to present the proper proof, properly online.
Course format
I am thinking about 3 modules with two lessons in each module. For example:
- First module: Triage: How to identify a winning required element defense
- Second module: Preparing your exhibits
- Third module: Preparing your defense certification
Commentary
I’ve fought a gazillion parking tickets during my 13-years. That is to say, I have taken my lumps, but have learned what it takes to beat an NYC parking ticket. I want to share this knowledge with you.
More importantly, I know the mistakes many drivers make when preparing their defenses. These mistakes eliminate any chance of winning before they even submit their defense.
Please share your feedback. Let’s work on a course together and beat these unjust parking tickets.
Regards,
Larry
I would be game. But i also agree that the $115 price tag is too high. $10 is too low. what about $30?
The course would be the most useful if it covers more than what you already offer on your website.
Good luck.
Thanks, Katharina, for your wonderful encouraging comment.
I’ll drop you a note when the course is complete.
Regards,
Larry
I do not think say, $20-30 would break a bank account in today’s tr-state area
considering the cost of a ticket. Not to mention a tow away and subsequent damage to a vehicle.
Hey Ken,
Thanks for your pricing insights. Very helpful, indeed.
Regards,
Larry
$50/$60 is fine . 1 ticket and it pays for itself . You offer a lot of much appreciated information here already . So I would love to know what you’ve been holding back on 🙂
Hi Steve,
Wonderful reply. Thank you for your pricing suggestions.
(Hahaha. I used butter, not margarine).
Be safe, Steve.

Larry
2 thoughts:
1. Pricing depends on live vs recorded. I think $40-50 for live is reasonable and closer to $10-20 for recorded.
2. You might want to consider cross promoting with ticket defense services. Like anyone who pays for and completes ticket university gets 50% off one Larry defended ticket.
3. (bonus thought) maybe offer a free intro course and then people can sign up/pay for more advanced topics.
Hi Geoff,
Thanks so much for your insights.
-My initial thoughts were to record the course modules
-I love your idea of cross-promoting
It really means a lot to me that you took your valuable time to share some great ideas.
Be safe, Geoff.
I’ll drop you a note when the course is complete.
Regards,
Larry
I think that would be a great idea. A special section on how to beat tickets that are unjust or wrong would be sweet revenge.
Hi Larry,
Good afternoon.
Thanks so much for your encouraging comment. I’m going to do my best to offer something helpful.
Regards,
Larry
Hi, Larry. I couldn’t find your email so I figured I would try to reach you here.
A family member received a Notice of Liability in violation of §1111-C “Owner liability for failure of operator to comply with bus lane restrictions.”
I know these camera tickets are difficult to beat, and it is nice that the fine is relatively low ($50) and carries no points.
However, there is incorrect information on the ticket.
The “Type” is listed as “Passenger” when it should be “MED” as they are MD plates. Is this grounds for dismissal?
The traffic law states “A notice of liability shall contain the name and address of the person alleged to be liable as an owner for a violation of a bus lane restriction, the registration number of the vehicle involved in such violation…”
Is the registration number incorrect if the type is incorrect? Or is the plate number sufficient in their eyes?
Thank you for any guidance!
Ben
Hi Ben,
Good afternoon.
Sorry about your spy in the bus lane pain.
I’m afraid I don’t handle camera tickets for the reasons you fittingly described.
A misdescribed “plate type” is a winning defense. But, I’m not sure whether it applies to a camera violation. My guess is that it should absolutely apply. Otherwise, they could have misidentified the car.
Here is a link to some “camera” blog posts. I hope they help.
Are you going to fight it?
Regards,
Larry
Thanks for your reply Larry! I will let you know the outcome!
Good news! Ticket dismissed. 🙂
That is terrific!
Congratulations, Ben.
Regards,
Larry
PS. What was your winning defense?
Larry – To be very specific, the judge cited Vehicle and Traffic Law § 238 as the reason for dismissal.
Incorrect “Plate Type” on Notice of Liability.
