What is the first ASP rules suspension in 2023?
Was your answer that the first ASP rules suspension was for Three Kings Day? If so, great answer! And you won’t have to dance the street cleaning polka on Friday, January 6, 2023.
Meanwhile, Three Kings Day, or the Feast of Epiphany, is the final celebration with which the 12 days of Christmas end on January 6. It is believed that on this day, the three wise men — Melchior, Caspar, and Balthazar — presented baby Jesus with symbolic gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. Many European Christians celebrate this holiday mainly in Spain and Latin America.”
I guessed Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday.
But, I was wrong. However, it is still good to know that MLK, Jr.’s birthday is celebrated on the third Monday in January. This year that falls on Monday, January 17, 2023. However, it is only a legal parking holiday in NYC. The Evil Empire only gives us a suspension of alternate side parking rules.
Commentary
Keep an eye out for parking holidays in NYC, whether they be major legal holidays like Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.. Or just plain legal holidays like Three Kings Day or Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday.
Likewise, I trust by now we all know the cornucopia of benefits the Evil Empire grants to drivers on major legal holidays. And, the paucity of parking presents on legal parking holidays.
I wish you all a happy, healthy, and prosperous 2023.
Be safe.
1/6/2020…Trump Day 😄
Hahaha.
You got that right, Tim.
