A Timely Guide to Fighting Evil NYC Camera Violations
The Evil Empire and its minions have eyes on you in school zones, bus lanes, intersections, and more places than you can shake a stick at. So, it behooves you to learn how to beat an unjust camera ticket.
If the eye in the sky sends a $50 epistle your way, make sure it was issued correctly.

Another interesting map is the NYC DOT Traffic Cameras Map

To view only NYC DOT cameras online, visit nyctmc.org or view a list of NYC DOT traffic cameras. The cameras provide frequently updated still images from locations in the five boroughs. The DOT staff uses these cameras to monitor traffic conditions and may reposition them to view traffic from varying directions.
However, the traffic cameras only provide live feeds and do not record any footage.
How about the MTA?
Glad you asked. Most importantly, here’s an interactive, informative map about MTA-operated bridges and tunnels.
Commentary
Did you imagine how many real-time cameras were watching your movements navigating the highways and byways of NYC? I didn’t.
While these cameras provide useful information to the DOT and MTA, they also help the gendarmes catch speeders and parking culprits. Does this invade our privacy? Or give the cops and warriors an unfair advantage to catch the “bad guys?”
Please, share your thoughts, opinions, and comments on this important subject.
Be safe.

Larry
